Minister, geef spelregels voor openbaar bestuur in hoger onderwijs

Open brief van de redactie aan minister Van Engelshoven. 'Als journalistiek afhankelijk is van wat bestuurders willen vertellen, dan is van openbaar bestuur geen sprake. Dan lopen we met LED-zaklampje door de burelen van de universiteit. Dit druist lijnrecht in tegen het "Openbaar, tenzij…" principe.'

De politiek correcte campus

Juist deze vorm van politiek correct denken, maakt dat komieken als John Cleese en Jerry Seinfeld de 'humorloze' universiteitscampussen links laten liggen.

As a researcher on prices and expenditures in the healthcare sector, I am particularly keen on the opportunity cost of new technologies especially since most are high-cost but not many are high-value. Combined with my role as a member of the University of Twente community, I cannot help but wonder about the value of contacting an external HR firm, albeit located at the Kennispark, to carry out the recruitment of 10 additional female professors by 2020.

Houd sport betaalbaar

Het is 10 mei 2014 als de finish van de 42e Batavierenrace letterlijk en figuurlijk in het water valt. De traditiegetrouwe finish op de sintelbaan was niet mogelijk door de hevige regenval. De reactie, een renovatie van de baan naar een bijna volwaardige atletiekaccommodatie, is de eerste in een reeks van meerdere renovatieprojecten aan de sportaccommodaties. Hartstikke mooi, maar het is ook een financieel gevaar voor de verenigingen.
