What is the Philips Innovation Award?
The Philips Innovation Award is the largest student-entrepreneur award in the Netherlands which enables young entrepreneurs to develop their idea and transform it into a successful start-up. Our mission is to stimulate and activate an innovative entrepreneurial culture among students. The Philips Innovation Award is an independent non-profit organization that works in close cooperation with Philips. The organization of the award is led by a board consisting of seven students from the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
We believe in a ‘profit for all’ mentality
By participating you receive personal feedback and coaching, build up a network and practice important skills. We offer support and guidance throughout the entire process, consisting of the idea stage, developing stage, refining stage and finale stage.
During the idea stage you can submit your executive summary on which you will receive feedback by our consulting partner, De Kleine Consultant. The developing stage is there to help you convert your idea into a business plan. Signing up and handing in your idea will be completely confidential, this is secured by signing a NDA.
A selection of the best ideas will be taken into the refining stage leading to the semi-final. During the final you might win the big price consisting of cash money, services like coaching, consultancy, legal advice, accountancy and so on from our top of the class partners. This all will kickstart your idea towards your dream business. During the final stage, eight ideas will be selected for the Grand final. The two winning teams will be granted a price worth €50.000 and €10.000.
