Inside the biggest eco race on the planet

Today is the last day of the Shell Eco Marathon (SEM) taking place in London as part of the 'Make the Future Live' festival, which aims to promote innovative energy sources. On top of roughly 30,000 visitors, this year's 34th edition of the SEM has welcomed 143 student teams from 24 countries, all challenged to build highly efficient vehicles. Take a peek inside the huge event, where the UT was represented by the Green Team Twente.

A regular visitor of the SEM first walks through the festival tent full of 'interactive experiences', such as VR simulations or futuristic hallways.

All vehicles first have to undergo a technical inspection before they are allowed on the race track.

Not only the stress levels are high, so is the temperature.
