Online education until the end of academic year

Students will not return to classrooms on campus before the summer. All education at the University of Twente will be held only online until the end of this academic year.

Due to the corona crisis, digital education was originally planned to last until the 1st of June. The UT informed about the decision to prolong this period in an email sent today.

In the update, the UT asks the students who are currently carrying out research activities for their bachelor or master thesis to consult their thesis supervisor and make individual arrangements. Research in labs might not be possible for most students (and scientists) as the access to labs on campus is currently allowed only for activities ‘considered critical and urgent’.

Website voor gratis zelftest gaat nu echt uit de lucht

De website waar studenten en werknemers in mbo en hoger onderwijs kosteloos zelftests kunnen bestellen, gaat per 20 juni offline. En al eerder als de zelftests op zijn. Wie nog een voorraadje wil bestellen, moet dus snel zijn.

The website where students and staff in vocational and higher education can order self-tests free of charge is going offline as from 20 June. Or earlier, if there are no more self-tests left. So anyone still wanting to place an order should take action fast.

Studenten blijven massaal weg van de campus

Het lukt de UT maar moeilijk om alle studenten weer naar de campus te krijgen, nu de coronamaatregelen eraf zijn. Dat tot frustratie, maar bovenal grote zorg van opleidingsdirecteuren. ‘We zijn uit de lockdown, maar het blijkt moeilijk om de lockdown uit de student te krijgen.’
