Geo-Ethics Symposium
Geo-Ethics Symposium took place today, the 14th of March 2016, at the University of Twente. Its goal was to point out and discuss ethical issues related to geo-information and mapmaking. 'The entry point of this symposium is that geo-information is malleable. We as scientists have the social responsibility and agency to shape technology,' said Tom Veldkamp, the Dean of ITC, during his opening speech. 'We introduce completely new technologies, by which we shape the environment.'
