DARE is a research community of distinguished researchers on entrepreneurship and includes more than ten Dutch Universities and ten Universities of Applied Sciences. At each of these universities, DARE names one main contact person alias a fellow, who represents the leading researcher in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship at the given institute.
‘Aard Groen has been previously appointed a DARE fellow, but as he is now also working in Groningen, I was asked to represent NIKOS as well,’ explains Petra de Weerd-Nederhof, who will officially receive her fellowship this afternoon. ‘Being a fellow gives me the opportunity to also be involved in discussions regarding strategy and plans for the future. DARE allows for deeper cooperation on a national level. Just two weeks ago we had a meeting to discuss how it would be possible to share lecturers and teaching activities among all entrepreneurial Master’s programs in the Netherlands. It is a great initiative.’
