Hilgenkamp to extend his position as dean

Hans Hilgenkamp will remain the dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology longer than expected. He has decided to stay at the position until the appointment of his successor.

Hans Hilgenkamp announced he wished to resign as the dean earlier this year and he was meant to step down from the function in September 2018. The procedure to find and appoint a new dean has started, but it has not been completed yet. After consulting the UT’s Executive Board, Hilgenkamp therefore agreed to stay at the position in the coming months until his successor is installed. Afterwards, Hilgenkamp wants to fully focus on his position as full professor.
