Tanya Bondarouk nominated for HRtop100

UT professor of Human Resources Management Tanya Bondarouk has been nominated for HRtop100. This list is reserved for the top HR experts in the Netherlands, including directors and scientists.

Tanya Bondarouk is a professor at BMS faculty. Before she switched to social sciences, she obtained a degree in chemistry in Saint Petersburg. Now she is recognized as one of the founders of the new research area of Human Resource Management and Technology, named electronic HRM. As stated on the HRtop100 website, Bondarouk is aiming to establish a new master program: Human Resources Management, Technology and Innovation.

‘Good women get overlooked’

'Goede vrouwen worden over het hoofd gezien'

Op papier hebben mensen van alle seksen dezelfde kansen om 'hogerop te komen' in de academische wereld. Toch kloppen de cijfers niet. Momenteel is 21% van de hoogleraren aan de Universiteit Twente vrouw, wat nog wel een grote stijging is ten opzichte van twintig of zelfs tien jaar geleden. Drie vrouwelijke hoogleraren, die al tientallen jaren aan de UT werken, delen hun ervaringen en hun adviezen. 'De situatie was zeker slechter toen ik begon.'

Miljoenen naar Twente voor opleiden extra technici

Mbo-, hbo- en wo-instellingen krijgen de komende twee jaar samen 81 miljoen euro van het kabinet om zo snel mogelijk meer technici voor de microchipsector op te leiden. De regio Twente krijgt 20,5 miljoen euro, waarvan minimaal 3,5 miljoen euro voor de UT bestemd is.
