Science Diplomacy Fund for UT project

The new NWO Science Diplomacy Fund was awarded to one UT project: ‘Transitional Regional Training Program’ (TRTP), run by Laura Franco-García from the Department of Governance and Technology for Sustainability.

The TRTP, developed by UT researchers, is a program focused on circular economy. It aims to improve regional resources management while mitigating environmental impacts. With the Science Diplomacy Fund, the researchers will apply TRTP in China.

The Science Diplomacy Fund aims to fund scientific activities that can positively contribute to improving diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and partner countries. These activities include workshops and exchanges with researchers and stakeholders across the world.

A radical course change in scientific research is needed to achieve climate neutrality in the Netherlands as soon as possible. This is one of the conclusions from an advisory report that has been submitted to the Dutch Research Council (NWO) and the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (KNAW).

Veni-beurzen voor zes UT-onderzoekers
