ITC celebrates launch of its own lifelong learning platform Geoversity

On Thursday afternoon, the ITC faculty celebrated the official launch of their lifelong learning environment 'Geoversity'. The ambitions are far-reaching: Geoversity is to become the leading online education platform within the geosciences.

De faculteit ITC vierde donderdagmiddag dat hun lifelong learning-omgeving ‘Geoversity’ officieel van start ging. De ambities reiken ver: Geoversity moet het leidende online onderwijsplatform worden binnen de geowetenschappen.

‘We have our homework to do as a university'

At a special 'Meet the faculty board' meeting of the ITC faculty on internationalisation, President of the Executive Board Vinod Subramaniam was a guest. He gave equally fervent, unyielding and nuanced answers to questions from students and staff. ‘The upcoming legislation is like shooting at a moving target.’

‘We hebben als universiteit ons huiswerk te doen’

Bij een speciale ‘Meet the faculty board’-bijeenkomst van de faculteit ITC over internationalisering was collegevoorzitter Vinod Subramaniam te gast. Hij gaf even vurig, onverzettelijk als genuanceerd antwoord op vragen van studenten en medewerkers. ‘De aankomende wetgeving is als schieten op een bewegend doelwit.’

Terreinontwerp ITC: groen en veel fietsstallingen

Het terreinontwerp voor het gebied rondom Langezijds, het nieuwe thuis van de faculteit ITC, is af. Er komt veel groen, aansluiting met het O&O-plein en plek voor zo’n 700 extra fietsen.
