Faith
Christians from all over the world who study at Saxion or Twente University come to the ICF-E to find togetherness. Paul van Dijk, who is one of the Dutch volunteers supporting the ICF-E, knows that some international students feel homesick and have difficulty coping in such a different country. At ICF, they can find support from others in similar positions who share the same spiritual background. ‘We organize several events to speak about our faith and to find relaxation, but our main activity is the Sunday service,’ Paul explains. ‘It’s interesting to see that our members bring along different flavours of Christianity from all over the world.’
Prinseschool
The Christian student association hopes that the move to the “Prinseschool” enables further growth, since the location is larger. Next to that, Paul is particularly taken with the atmosphere: ‘It’s an old gym that was built before World War II. Because of the high ceiling and decorations, it almost looks like a real chapel.’
The ICF-E will start their services on the new location from 7th of September onwards. In October, there will be a special service to welcome new students. See www.icf-enschede.nlto find more information.
