The popular American coffee chain Starbucks will open a store on the UT-campus in mid-November. The global coffee company will be located in the EDU-café at the O&O-square.
‘Starbucks will contribute to the international look and feel of the campus’, said Victor van der Chijs, Chairman of the UT Executive Board during yesterday’s opening ceremony for the academic year 2015-2016. ‘Starbucks is a very popular and recognisable global brand.’
The location, the EDU-café was already scheduled to undergo a renovation. ‘And Starbucks requested a central spot on the campus’, says Van der Chijs. The renovation coincides with the arrival of the coffeehouse.
This 4TU Career Special is a shared publication by the news editors of Cursor (Eindhoven University of Technology), Delta (Delft University of Technology), Resource (Wageningen University and Research), and U-Today (University of Twente). The magazine came into being in collaboration with industry, and is explicitly aimed towards students who are either in the final phase of their studies, or have just graduated.
