Q&A on the war in Ukraine

What does Putin want, how should Europe react and what about the sanctions? Together with Studium Generale, U-Today is holding a Q&A on the war in Ukraine on Thursday afternoon. Shawn Donnelly, assistant professor Technology, Resilience & Europe, will answer questions from the audience in the Amphitheater (Vrijhof).

Shawn Donnelly is specialized in comparative and international political economy, covering public (economic) governance in Europe and globally, with expertise in financial stability, crisis response and resilience. The past period he shared his views on the war in Ukraine every week at U-Today. During the Q&A on Thursday he will be interviewed by Jelle Posthuma (U-Today) and Peter Timmerman (Studium Generale). There will also be plenty of time for questions from the audience.

The Q&A is open to everyone and starts at 12.30 in the Amphitheatre (Vrijhof). The event will be in English. Registration is not required.

Extra geld voor noodsteun aan studenten uit Oekraïne

Het kabinet heeft nog eens 2,5 miljoen euro uitgetrokken voor noodsteun aan studenten die getroffen zijn door de oorlog in Oekraïne. 2,3 miljoen euro wordt door universiteiten en hogescholen verdeeld en de rest door het mbo.

Additional emergency funding for Ukrainian students

The Cabinet has allocated another 2.5 million euros in emergency funding for students hit by the war in Ukraine. 2.3 million euros will be shared by institutions in higher education and the rest will go to secondary vocational education (mbo).
