Exact vijftig jaar geleden plaatsten studenten als grap kunstwerk ‘Het Ding’ nabij de hoofdingang van de universiteit. Vandaag de dag staat het bouwwerk van zes afgedankte telefoonpalen en staaldraad er nog steeds, maar sinds 2008 wel gespiegeld.
